In-Home Cat Sitter

Cat Sitter Toronto is currently accepting applications for qualified, part-time, in (the client’s) home cat sitters for clients in Downtown Toronto and Toronto East.


This is the ideal position for an honest, responsible, reliable, professional individual, able to work independently with little supervision and who is not looking for a career but rather a part time job for supplemental income. We are looking for staff that who are willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months.


The successful applicant will be expected to complete in home visits, typically 30 minutes, providing kitties with plenty of TLC, feeding and refilling water, scooping or changing litter, cleaning cat bowls and cat messes, administering medications, bringing in the mail, watering plants and providing daily updates to Cat Sitter Toronto clients after you visit. 


Applicants should LOVE being around cats and have experience caring for felines. Other required qualifications include:


  • Demonstrated experience providing care for cats other than you own through either past employment or volunteer activity. 
  • Demonstrated experience administering medications to cats other than your own. 
  • Work experience that includes providing customer service or interviewing clients. 
  • Applicants must be available during weekdays, evenings, weekends & holidays. Cat Sitter Toronto provides our services from 7 am to 8 pm daily. 
  • Must provide recent certification for providing pet first aid or be willing to attend a training course within 8 weeks of being employed by Cat Sitter Toronto. 
  • Be able to pass a police background check.
  • Must have your own vehicle or access to reliable transportation, a smartphone and internet access to provide timely communication with clients.


Cat sitting assignments can vary from 1 to 3 weeks or more, with most being 5 – 7 days. Our cat sitters can accept assignments based upon their availability.

Compensation for this position is as follows:

$8.50 for 15-minute visits, includes travel time and cost
$11.50 for 30-minute visits, includes travel time and cost


We will minimize travel distance required to maximize your earning potential. Salary equivalent to $12-$15/hour.

Homes for In-Home Cat Boarding

Cat Sitter Toronto is seeking applications from people interested in boarding a kitty in their home. This position is ideal for individuals or families who enjoy having a cat in your life but are not yet ready to make the long-term commitment of owning a cat.


Cat sitting assignments can vary in duration from 3 days to a maximum of 3 months; applicants can select assignments of a type and duration that fits their schedule.


Applicants should LOVE being around cats and have plenty of experience caring for felines. Other required qualifications include:


  • Have no other pets in your home
  • Demonstrated experience providing care for cats, either your own or through past employment or volunteer activity. 
  • Demonstrated experience administering medications to cats other than your own. 
  • Provide recent certification for providing pet first aid or be willing to attend a training course within 8 weeks of being selected by Cat Sitter Toronto.
  • Must have your own vehicle or access to reliable transportation, a smartphone and internet access to provide timely communication with clients.


If you are interested, Cat Sitter Toronto will need to conduct a full and thorough screening process which includes visiting your home and interviewing all residents. Among other things, the screener will be looking to determine that the kitty will be safe in your home because window have screens, there are no toxic plants on the premises, you’ve agreed to never let the cat access to balconies, common areas of condo property, or anywhere outside of the approved home, etc. You will be required to provide proof that you are permitted to host cats in your home, such as a copy of the relevant bylaw or tenancy agreement, or by permitting Cat Sitter Toronto to speak with your landlord. You must also provide proof that you have paid any pet deposits that may be required by your rental agreement.


Personal and/or work-related references regarding the suitability of your home for boarding a kitty, will be required.


Compensation will be $125 to $175 per week for in-home cat boarding. Any required food or cat litter will be provided or the cost reimbursed. Overnight Cat Sitter

Cat Sitter Toronto is currently accepting applications for qualified, part-time, overnight cat sitters for clients in all areas of Toronto.


This is the ideal position for an honest, responsible, reliable, professional individual, able to work independently with little supervision and who is not looking for a career but rather a part time job for supplemental income. We are looking for staff that who are willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months.


The successful applicant will be expected to stay the night at the client’s home, 8 hours, typically beginning at 10 pm until 6 am. As an overnight cat sitter, you will be required to work approximately 2 of these 8 hours, providing kitties with plenty of TLC, feeding and refilling water, scooping or changing litter, cleaning cat bowls and cat messes, administering medications, bringing in the mail, watering plants and providing daily updates to Cat Sitter Toronto clients after you visit. For your safety, as well as that of the cats, no visitors will be allowed to enter the home while you are staying there. You are responsible for the care and safety of the client’s home during the duration of the overnight cat sitting assignment.


Applicants should LOVE being around cats and have experience caring for felines. Other required qualifications include:
  • Demonstrated experience providing care for cats other than you own through either past employment or volunteer activity. 
  • Demonstrated experience administering medications to cats other than your own. 
  • Work experience that includes providing customer service or interviewing clients. Applicants must be available during weekdays, weekends & holidays.
  • Must provide recent certification for providing pet first aid or be willing to attend a training course within 8 weeks of being employed by Cat Sitter Toronto. 
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must have your own vehicle or access to reliable transportation, a smartphone and internet access to provide timely communication with clients.
