Why Hire A Professional Cat Sitter?

Why Hire A Profesional Cat Sitter?

By: Zara Willmott

Why hire a professional Cat Sitter? As a human slave to your cat, you may have asked yourself this very question. Truth be told there is no straight answer to this question but a variety. Read on to discover why.

Professional:

It’s right there in the title. Hiring a professional sitter comes with guarantees and security you won’t get from the neighborhood teen. Professional sitters come with insurance, this protects not only your pet but your home as well. With a professional, you won’t have to worry about missed visits. Professionals have plans in place for backups and emergencies.

Most professionals have a deeper understanding of your pet’s needs as well. Here at Cat Sitter Toronto Inc. Each staff member goes through a thorough training process that covers all aspects of feline care. I wouldn’t call us experts but we are pretty close. Also with a professional, you will receive daily notifications about how your furball is doing, this will provide you with the reassurance so you can enjoy your time away worry-free

Trained:

When dealing with a professional, you know you are getting someone who is trained. How does this help? A trained professional knows the signs to watch for and can assess your cat’s well-being daily. We all know cats are excellent at hiding when they are hurt or unwell. Having someone care for them who can spot the minute changes in the diet, exercise, or litter habits is key to avoiding a catastrophe. Also for kitties with medical needs, having someone who pays attention to detail can relieve the stress of travel. Here at Cat sitter Toronto Inc., our staff members are trained in the various ways to administer oral meds to cats and some of our staff have experience with administering insulin as well.

Peace of Mind:

Having a sitter visit your home daily allows you to relax and enjoy your time away. A professional sitter will take the time to ensure that your kitty has all they need (including some love and snuggles). We will also bring in your mail and rotate lights. Sometimes we get asked if a daily visit is needed. My answer is always yes! Not only is it good for your cat to get fresh water, food, and clean litter daily, but it is also equally important to ensure they haven’t gotten into any trouble!

Imagine this scenario: You decide to go to the cottage on Friday and come home on Sunday, so you decide Fluffy will be fine, you will just put down some extra food and water. Sounds good right? But what happens when you come home Sunday to discover the door to the litter area closed and Fluffy has had to find alternative bathroom spaces? Or even worse Fluffy got trapped in the litter area with no food or water! Yes, the likelihood of these happening is small but the risk is not worth it. This is why we say it’s best that all cats in our care receive at minimum a daily visit.
